Barbarians overcome travel drama to defeat Cobar

The Bourke-Brewarrina Barbarians overcame a disrupted preparation and difficult conditions to record a 22-7 victory over the Cobar Camels on Friday night in front of a very healthy crowd.

After a flat tyre delayed the Barbarians’ trip to Cobar and pushed back kick-off, both sides still began the contest with intensity and attacking intent in front of a vocal home crowd.

As dew settled across the field, handling became increasingly difficult, leading to a scrappy but entertaining contest. Despite the slippery conditions, both teams continued to play expansive rugby.

A late converted try to the Rams narrowed the margin, but the Galahs held on to claim a memorable three-point win.
