On Wednesday, March 25, 13 players tackled the Warren course for the Leanne Carey Trophy Day, an 18-hole stableford event.

It was lovely to welcome one of our men along and even better to see him take out the win, with Bob McKay finishing on a great score of 35 points.

Not far behind was Pook Austin with 34, followed closely by Jaimie Boyd on 33, with just the single point separating first through to third in a tightly contested field.

Balls went to Bob, Pook, Jaimie, Bec, and Deb.

Nearest the pins were Deb Kentwell on the fourth, Jaimie Boyd on the 16th and Christine Tilley on the 18th.

Players were treated to a beautiful autumn day, with the course in immaculate condition, thanks to Robert and the volunteers, making for a thoroughly enjoyable day all round.

On Saturday March 28, 12 players contested another 18-hole Stableford, this time in much brisker autumn conditions.

Tish McAlary returned to form with her usual consistency to take out the win on 33 points, with Bob McKay again featuring strongly as runner-up on 31.

Nearest the pin on the 13th went to Tish McAlary.

It’s been wonderful to see Bob McKay back on the course and playing so well.

With Easter just around the corner, we would like to wish all our members and readers a very happy and safe Easter.

Golf balls are like eggs, they’re white, sold by the dozen, and a week later you have to buy more!!
