2026 has been a wonderful year for Warren Junior Netball and the committee would firstly like to congratulate all players on making this happen. Without players there is no netball. Warren is very lucky to have a club that fosters the love of the game with so many wonderful volunteers. After players, volunteers are what make our club. From coaching to umpiring and everything in between, thank you. Also, a massive shout out to all our sponsors, particularly our major sponsor, Queensland Cotton. Without sponsors the kids don’t get uniforms, equipment, trophies and a little end of season gift. If you run a business or would personally like to sponsor us in 2027 please get in touch and we will set you up.

In 2026 Warren Junior Netball held another successful Ridley Trudgett Gala Day, and we thank everyone who got involved to make it such a success.

Net Set Go on a Wednesday this year had two teams. They started the year learning lots of skills and spent the second half of the season playing games and showing that they are the future of Warren Junior Netball.

The Super Wednesday Competition had four teams this year. All teams competed well and had a great season. The grand final came down to the Leopards and the Jaguars, and it was incredibly close with the Jaguars pulling off a great win by only one point. Well done to all players who played in the Wednesday competition for showing great sportsmanship and netball skills every week. A shout out to all coaches, umpires, scorers and to Nic Mackay for pulling the competition together.

Three years ago Warren Junior Netball introduced the Storer Hunt Perpetual Shield for Most Valuable Player in the Wednesday competition. This shield is in

recognition of Pam Storer and Erin Hunt who founded Warren Junior Netball and are still involved today. The shield is voted on each week by the umpires allocating 3-2-1 points for the games. The 2026 winner was Kiara Forbes. Congratulations Kiara.

Warren Junior Netball had three Wildflowers teams competing in Dubbo on a Saturday this year, and had a banner year with two teams playing in their respective Grand Finals. The U10s improved in leaps and bounds throughout the season, finishing second on the ladder and will be a team to watch in 2027. The U11s had a fantastic season, with their improvement in teamwork throughout the season a particular highlight, culminating in a win in the Grand Final- well done girls. The U12s fought hard all season, and enjoyed their last year of playing as a team. Earning a place in the Grand Final after finishing fourth on the ladder was a massive effort, and while the final score wasn’t as we would have hoped, the girls gave their all in the game, and represented our club with pride. Shout out to all the girls and parents who travel to Dubbo every Saturday and make this happen.
