Soulsby Memorial Trophy Day
What a wonderful turnout we had for the annual Bruce Soulsby Memorial Trophy Day, with 84 players taking part in the three-person Irish Stableford.

By The Dirty Birdie
It was fantastic to welcome visitors from Cumberland, Kurri Kurri, Hervey Bay, Dubbo, Newcastle, Coonabarabran, Albury, Cobar, and Trangie – what a great mix of golfers! The course looked magnificent, thanks to Robert and the team of volunteers who always do such a brilliant job.
The weather turned-out glorious after a shaky start, setting the scene for a terrific day of golf and friendship.
It was lovely to have most of the Soulsby family there – Nathan, Fiona, Sean, Rohan and Al – although Travis couldn’t make it this year due to work commitments.
While it was Violet’s first year missed, she’s off following her dream on the Gold Coast and hopes to be back soon and racing again before long! Sean is also chasing his dreams at university, making the family very proud.

The Soulsby family were absolutely thrilled with the day and the amazing turn-out. Everything ran smoothly thanks to the wonderful help from so many.
Special credit to Christine Tilley for her support leading up to the event, JT for his continued backing, and Elsie for spending the day buzzing around in the drinks cart keeping everyone hydrated and happy.
Acknowledgement also to Tara and Rachel for manning the barbecue. Tara always steps-up and takes the pressure off Val, Kay Bennett, and Rob Downey for helping with the trophy setup.
Behind the bar, Macca and Leanne kept everyone refreshed and the trophies looked fantastic and a big thanks to Travis for organising them.
All in all, a brilliant day of golf, family, and memories , exactly what the Bruce Soulsby Memorial is all about.
