Ryan Team Claims Nyngan's Twilight Triples Title
Nyngan Bowling Club's Twilight Triples competition has concluded.
After six weeks of competitive bowls and friendly rivalry, the Nyngan Bowling Club's Twilight Triples competition concluded on June 17 with the top four teams battling it out for a share of the prizes.
The finals format saw the leading four teams contest six-end semi-finals before progressing to six-end finals to determine the final placings.
Emerging as champions were Rodney and Rose Ryan along with Jakeel Pack, who put together a strong performance throughout the competition and finals series to secure first place.
Finishing runners-up were John and Di Wynne and Pat Heenan. In the absence of John and Di for the finals, Alex Miles and Dee Stephens stepped in and provided capable support to help the team secure second place.
Third place went to Kane Nankervis, Jason Sinclair and Tate Sinclair, while Steven Read, Chris Dennis and Toby Smith finished fourth after a spirited effort in the finals.
Nyngan Bowling Club spokesman Adrian Taylor thanked all bowlers who participated in the six-week competition - which is always a popular social and sporting event on the local calendar.
