Nyngan Swimmer Earns Country Champs Berth
Summer Hoolmes produced an outstanding performance at the Mountain and Plains Short Course.

Nyngan swimmer Summer Holmes has continued her impressive form through the winter season, producing an outstanding performance at the Mountain and Plains Short Course Swimming Championships in Bathurst.
Competing over two days on June 12 and 13, Summer recorded personal best times in every event she contested, an achievement that capped off months of dedicated training while balancing her studies in Bathurst.
Her efforts were rewarded with an impressive medal haul of one gold, three silver and two bronze medals against some of the region's strongest young swimmers.
The standout performances have also secured Summer a place at the Swimming NSW Country Short Course Championships, to be held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre in July.
Qualifying for the Country Championships is a milestone and provides Summer with the opportunity to test herself against many of the state's best country swimmers.
Family, friends and supporters from both Nyngan and Bathurst will be cheering her on as she takes the blocks at Sydney Olympic Park next month.
