Nyngan riders perform well at Bourke Show

Nyngan riders had a successful day at the Bourke Show on Saturday (May 17), winning some major awards and getting in practise for this weekend.

Annie Hoy, Lilly Robb, Ella Kilmartin, Marcus O’Neill, Chloe and Thomas Fanning, and Katie Wheatley all scored well in the ring events. Ella, riding Alvin, was also overall grand champion junior rider in ring B, with Chloe Fanning on Whiskey runner up.

In the boys’ classes, Marcus O’Neill on Fancy was champion junior boy, and Thomas Fanning on Stella was reserve.

In the adult classes, Katie Wheatley on Little G Charisma was reserve champion lady rider, and Charisma was champion led mare or gelding, and reserve champion ridden mare or gelding.

Annie Hoy won the open galloway hack champion sash on LV Conmaster, with Lilly Robb on Rain winning the reserve.

In the showjumping Ella was awarded the Keith Lowe Memorial Shield for showjumpers under 12.

The Nyngan Show will take place on Sunday and Monday this weekend.
