Nyngan lady bowlers triumph in finals at Parkes

Nyngan’s women bowlers have delivered a standout performance on the regional stage, claiming victory at the 2025/26 Mid-West Region Women’s Pennant Division One Finals, held over the weekend, April 11 and 12, at Parkes Bowling and Sports Club.

Nyngan players were Jenny Parry, Lyn Hawley, Deb Vane and Dianne Smith (team one) and Teressa Rose, Mel Arandale, Maxine Christoff and Dianne Wynne (team two).

In what proved to be a fiercely competitive championship, Nyngan faced strong opposition from Cowra, Dubbo City and West Dubbo, with all four sides showcasing impressive skill and determination across the greens. Matches were tightly contested throughout the weekend, keeping spectators on edge as each club battled for a state berth.

Nyngan will now represent the Mid-West Region at the State Championships in August, to be held at Figtree Bowling Club.
