Deb Matheson was the star of a recent visit to Trundle, taking out the Trundle Ladies Open on Sunday, May 25.
Matheson shot a great round of 86 off the stick to win by one shot from Michelle Owen (Albert, 87).
It was a great day for Nyngan golfers making the trek, with Janine Tulenew finishing runner-up in the division one stableford.
Men’s golfers headed over to Condobolin Open and had a great time, but didn’t fare quite as well.
At the local nine-hole individual stableford on Wednesday, May 21, Kate Yabsley (23 points) was the winner from Rod Herbert (22 points) and Reg Herbert (20 points).
Nearest the pin on the second was Graham Tomek, whole Brian Nipperess.
In a light touch, the Nyngan Golf Club World Euchre Champion was Scott Bartley.
It was reported that Bartley played with two partners, but no-one can remember who won.
