The Albert Priest Channel delivers water to Nyngan and Cobar from Burrendong Dam and the Macquarie River System, to supplement supply when the Bogan is not running.

The channel runs water around four times a year into the Nyngan weir pool, some of which is then delivered to Cobar via a pipeline.

Routine maintenance is carried out on the Channel each year to ensure it is delivering water efficiently.
